What it is
This article explains how billing works across Keyword.com’s two products, and how Google SERP Tracking subscriptions differ from AI Visibility (AIV) subscriptions.
Billing overview
Keyword.com has two separate products that can be subscribed to independently:
Google SERP Tracker - priced per keyword, based on tracking frequency
AI Visibility Tracker (AIV) - priced by usage credits
Each product has its own pricing model, limits, and billing logic. Understanding the difference is important to avoid confusion around usage, limits, and invoices.
Google SERP tracker billing
How pricing works
Google SERP Tracker is priced based on:
Number of keywords
Keyword update cycle (e.g. daily, weekly, bi-hourly(legacy))
When you subscribe to a SERP plan, you purchase keyword bundles tied to a specific update frequency.
Example:
A Daily plan means all keywords on that plan are tracked daily
A Weekly plan means all keywords on that plan are tracked weekly
You cannot mix update frequencies within the same SERP subscription. Which means all keywords are updates at the same time.
Keyword limits and usage
Keywords are purchased in fixed bundles
Unused keywords do not roll over
You are billed for the full bundle, whether or not all keywords are actively used
If you have unused keyword slots, you still pay for them until the subscription is changed or downgraded.
You can always check what is included in each plan on the Pricing page.
On-demand keyword updates
In addition to scheduled updates, SERP plans include a free allowance of on-demand updates.
How this works:
Your free on-demand updates match your keyword limit
Example: a 300-keyword plan includes 300 free on-demand updates per update cycle
These updates can be used on any keyword, regardless of its normal schedule
On-demand updates reset based on your plan’s update frequency (daily or weekly).
If you need more on-demand updates, you can purchase additional top-ups at an extra cost.
Keyword add limits
To prevent abuse and ensure data stability, SERP plans include keyword add limits.
Limits are based on your plan’s update frequency
Daily plans have a daily keyword add limit
Weekly plans have a weekly keyword add limit
Once you reach the limit, you’ll need to wait for the next reset period before adding more keywords.
What SERP billing covers
Your SERP subscription covers SERP-specific functionality only, including:
Keyword tracking & update frequency
Rank history
SERP features
Alerts
Scheduled PDF reports
Google integrations
On-demand keyword updates (within plan limits)
Keyword add limits (per day or week, depending on plan)
These settings and limits do not apply to AI Visibility tracking.
AI Visibility tracker (AIV) billing
How pricing works
AI Visibility is priced using a credit-based system.
Credits are consumed when you:
Run AI visibility checks
Track prompts, brands, or queries
Refresh AI visibility data
Generate page audit reports
Credits are not tied to keywords or update cycles.
For a full explanation of how credits are calculated and consumed, see: How AI Visibility Credits Work.
Credit usage basics
Credits are deducted based on actual usage
Usage depends on what you track and how often you refresh data
Credit behaviour is explained in detail in the credits article linked above
Unused credits do not roll over
Using SERP & AIV together
Free SERP access with AIV
If you subscribe to AI Visibility, you automatically get:
Access to Google SERP Tracker
5 free SERP keywords to track
These 5 keywords are intended for light SERP monitoring alongside AI Visibility insights.
If you need to track more keywords, higher frequency updates, or advanced SERP reporting, you’ll need a paid SERP subscription.
Subscribing to one or both products
You can:
Subscribe to SERP only (Certain packages include free AIV credits)
Subscribe to AIV only (includes 5 free SERP keywords)
Subscribe to both SERP and AIV, depending on your needs
Each product is billed separately and has its own limits and usage model.
