Weekly Project & Account Update Emails

Automatically receive ranking performance summaries for your projects and entire account.

What it is

Weekly Update Emails are automated performance summaries sent to your inbox.

There are two types of weekly emails:

  1. Weekly Project Portfolio Snapshot
A high-level summary covering all projects in your account.

  2. Weekly Project Performance Pulse
A focused report for specific projects with deeper keyword insights.

You can turn each weekly email on or off and choose the day and time it arrives.

Why it matters

Weekly emails help you:

  • Monitor account performance without logging in

  • Stay on top of ranking changes across all projects

  • Keep clients or stakeholders informed

  • Track trends in average position, keyword distribution, and top-performing pages

Types of weekly emails

1. Weekly Project Portfolio Snapshot

A comprehensive summary of your account’s projects, including:

  • Average position

  • Search volume

  • Overall ranking performance

  • Portfolio-level metrics

This is ideal for account-level monitoring.

2. Weekly Project Performance Pulse

A focused update for selected projects that includes:

  • Keyword rankings

  • Top-performing keywords

  • Top-performing pages

  • Detailed keyword metric breakdown

This is ideal for client reporting or campaign-specific tracking.

How weekly emails work

  • Emails are generated automatically on the day and at the time you select.

  • The selected delivery time is shown in your own timezone.

  • Data reflects the most recent ranking updates.

  • Portfolio Snapshot covers all projects.

  • Performance Pulse can be customized per project.

No manual action is required once the emails are enabled and scheduled.

How to configure weekly emails

To manage your weekly email preferences:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Click Notifications.

  3. Use the individual switches to turn the Weekly Project Portfolio Snapshot and Weekly Project Performance Pulse emails on or off.

  4. Under Delivery day & time, choose when you want the enabled weekly emails to arrive.

  5. For the Project Performance Pulse, select the specific projects you want included.

Manage your other email notifications

The Settings → Notifications page also lets you control other optional emails.

You can:

  • Turn rank alert emails on or off.

  • Turn warnings about your keyword limit on or off.

  • Choose which projects can send you rank alert emails.

  • Limit how often alert emails arrive.

Under Email me at most, choose one of these alert email frequencies:

  • Once every hour

  • Once every 4 hours

  • Once every 12 hours

  • Once a day

  • Once a week

Turning off alert emails or excluding a project only changes which alerts are emailed to you. You can still see alerts from every project on the Alerts page.

What to expect

  • Enabled weekly emails arrive on your selected day and at your selected time.

  • The delivery time is displayed in your timezone.

  • Metrics reflect ranking performance based on your subscription plan.

  • The reports summarize movement and overall keyword health; they do not provide granular ranking-by-ranking detail like the dashboard.

If no major changes occurred, the summary may reflect stable performance.

Best practices

  • Enable Portfolio Snapshot for internal oversight.

  • Enable Performance Pulse for client-facing projects.

  • Choose a delivery time when you are most likely to review and act on the report.

  • Select an alert email frequency that keeps you informed without overwhelming your inbox.

  • Enable alert emails only for the projects that require immediate attention.

  • Combine weekly emails with Alerts for high-priority keyword monitoring.

  • Review historical charts when significant weekly movement appears.
