Project Dashboard & Metrics

Learn how to interpret your project dashboard, key metrics, and ranking summaries.

Updated this week

What it is

The Project overview shows all Project-level metrics and performance charts. All metrics in Keyword.com are surfaced through the overview charts.

Why it matters

The overview is the primary way to understand:

  • Overall visibility trends

  • Ranking performance across all keywords

  • How changes to keywords affect aggregated results

Because these charts are also used in shared ViewKey reports, configuration directly impacts what external viewers see.

πŸ’‘ You can choose to hide the Overview Tab from your realtime ViewKey report.

How it works

Metrics and charts

All Project metrics are displayed through overview charts, including:

  • Visibility trends

  • Ranking distribution

  • Average position trends

  • Other aggregated performance indicators

Metrics are calculated using all keywords in the Project.

Customising the overview charts

Reorder charts (drag & drop)

You can change the order of charts by dragging and dropping them.

Important:

  • The chart order you set is exactly what ViewKey users will see

Show or hide charts

You can control which charts are visible.

  1. Click the chart icon in the top-right corner of the overview

  2. Select which charts to show or hide

Date range filter

You can change the date range used for all overview charts.

  • The selected date filter applies across the overview

Global behaviour

Settings apply across all Projects

  • Chart visibility

  • Chart order

  • Date range

These settings are global and apply to all Google SERP Projects in your account.

Data updates and aggregation

If you:

  • Add keywords

  • Edit keywords

  • Delete keywords

Some metrics may take time to update.

This delay happens because Keyword.com re-aggregates all ranking data to ensure accurate, real visibility results.

During this time:

  • Charts may temporarily lag

  • Final metrics will stabilise once aggregation is complete
