What it is
The Prompts table is the main working view for your tracked AI Visibility prompts.
It shows your prompts alongside their performance, organization, and tracking status. Use it to quickly identify which prompts are performing well, which need attention, and when they were last updated.
Each row represents one tracked prompt configuration for an AI engine.
At-a-glance summary
At the top of the page, the summary cards show performance across the prompts included in your current view.
The cards include:
Visibility score
Detection rate
Mentions
Citations
Average rank
Prompts, including the number currently active
Where comparison data is available, the cards also show how the current period compares with the previous period.
Search and grouping
Use Search prompts to find a specific prompt.
Use Group by to organize the table by:
Prompt
Engine
Topic
Grouping makes it easier to compare prompts within a topic, review how a prompt performs across AI engines, or find all configurations for a particular prompt.
Customizing the table
Select the column icon in the top-right corner of the table to choose which columns are visible.
You can show or hide columns to create a view that suits the question you are investigating. For example, you may focus on visibility and detection rate for regular monitoring, or include last-run details when reviewing tracking activity.
Table columns explained
The available columns include:
Column | Description |
Prompt | The exact question sent to the AI engine. |
Engine | The AI engine running the prompt, such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overview, or Microsoft Copilot. |
Visibility score | Your overall visibility score for the prompt. |
Detection rate | The percentage of runs in which your brand was found. |
Rank | Your brand’s average position when it was named in the answer. A lower number indicates a higher placement. |
1d, 7d, 30d | Available change values for the selected prompt across the shown time periods. A dash or N/A means there is not enough applicable comparison data. |
Sentiment | The sentiment associated with your brand in the prompt’s answers. |
Mentions | How often your brand was mentioned across the recorded runs. |
Citations | The number of citations associated with the prompt’s answers. |
Topic | The topic assigned to the prompt. |
Tags | Tags assigned to the prompt for additional organization and filtering. |
Status | Whether the prompt is active or paused. |
Last run | When the prompt last ran. |
Last updated | When the prompt configuration was last updated. |
Not every column needs to be displayed at once. Use the column picker to keep the table focused on the information you need.
Reading prompt performance
Use the performance columns together rather than relying on one number alone.
For example:
A high visibility score and high detection rate suggest your brand appears consistently for that prompt.
A low detection rate may mean your brand only appears in some answers.
A strong rank means your brand tends to be named earlier in the answer when it appears.
Mentions and citations provide useful context for how often your brand is discussed or supported by sources.
A prompt with limited runs may show more variation than one with a longer history. Review the prompt’s answers before drawing conclusions from a short period.
Opening a prompt’s details
Hover over a prompt row to access its quick actions.
You can open:
Overview to review the prompt’s performance and trends
Answers to review the individual AI-generated responses
Use the prompt overview for the broader picture. Use Answers when you need to validate a particular run, read the captured response, or inspect named brands and sources.
Managing a prompt
Open the three-dot menu on a prompt row to manage it.
Available actions include:
Refresh now: Run the prompt again
Edit: Update the prompt configuration
Assign tags: Add or change tags
Pause: Stop scheduled runs without removing the prompt
Remove: Delete the prompt from tracking
How to interpret the table correctly
Keep these points in mind when reviewing the Prompts table:
Prompt results can differ across AI engines.
A prompt’s metrics are based on its recorded runs.
A lower rank number means your brand appeared earlier in the answer.
Dashes and N/A values can appear when there is not enough relevant data for a comparison.
Short time periods can show more variation than longer periods.
Use topics and tags to make large prompt sets easier to review.
The Prompts table is designed for day-to-day monitoring and management. For a deeper investigation, open the prompt’s Overview or Answers view.
