Use the Looker Studio connector to build custom dashboards with live ranking data.

What it is

The Google Looker Studio Connector allows you to export Keyword.com data into Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio).

You can create dashboards using:

  • Keyword Current Ranking Data

  • Share of Voice (SOV) Data

This gives you full flexibility to visualize, filter, segment, and blend your SEO data.


Why it matters

While Keyword.com provides powerful native dashboards, Looker Studio allows you to:

  • Create fully customized reports

  • Combine Keyword.com data with other data sources

  • Build white-labeled client dashboards

  • Create executive-ready reporting views

  • Segment data by project, group, or tag

It is ideal for agencies, multi-client teams, and advanced reporting workflows.

Available data sets

When creating a connector, you can choose between two datasets.

1. Keyword ranking data connector

This dataset provides comprehensive ranking and performance metrics.

Ranking Metrics

Keyword

The specific term you are tracking.

Rank

The current position of your keyword on Google search results.

Best Rank

The highest rank the keyword has achieved over its tracking history.

1-Day Movement

Change in keyword rank compared to the previous day.

7-Day Movement

Change in keyword rank compared to seven days ago.

30-Day Movement

Change in keyword rank compared to thirty days ago.

Lifetime Movement

Overall change in keyword rank since tracking began.

Keyword Metrics

Search Volume

The average number of times the keyword is searched monthly.

Search Intent

Indicates the purpose behind the search (Informational, Navigational, Transactional, etc.).

SERP Features

Special elements (like featured snippets, site links) that appear on the search results page.

Feature URL Data

URLs associated with SERP features for the keyword.

Search Results

Total number of results returned by Google for the keyword.

Traffic & Value Metrics

Clicks

The number of clicks generated by the keyword.

Competition

Indicates how competitive the keyword is in paid search.

CPC (Cost Per Click)

The average cost per click if bidding on the keyword in Google Ads.

CTR (Click-Through Rate)

The percentage of people who click on your link after seeing it in search results.

Estimated Traffic Value

The estimated monetary value of the traffic generated by the keyword.

Impressions

The number of times your link appeared in search results.

Visibility Metric

A score representing how visible your website is in search results.

This allows you to build:

  • Ranking trend dashboards

  • Keyword performance reports

  • Traffic value analysis

  • Visibility performance tracking


2. Share of Voice (SOV) connector

The Share of Voice connector focuses on competitive visibility.

Data available

  • Domain

  • SOV % by Day (last 7 days)

  • Latest Score

  • % Change

This allows you to:

  • Track market share

  • Compare brand visibility

  • Identify competitive shifts

  • Build competitive leaderboards


How to set up the connector

Step 1: Navigate to Integrations

  1. Login to Keyword.com

  2. Click your profile icon (top right)

  3. Select Integrations β†’ Google Looker Studio Connector


Step 2: Authorize Google

  1. Authenticate your Google account

  2. Grant permissions for Looker Studio


Step 3: Choose dataset

Select:

  • Ranking Data
    or

  • Share of Voice

Then choose the data scope:

  • Project

  • Group

  • Tag


Step 4: Generate connector URL

Click Generate Connector URL.

Copy the URL and paste it into Google Looker Studio as a new data source.

⚠️ Important Notes:

Data reflects what is available inside Keyword.com

GSC data will only appear if GSC is connected

Share of Voice calculations are based on weighted CTR Γ— search volume

Connector access depends on your Google permissions


Customizing your reports

Once connected in Looker Studio, you can:

  • Build line charts for ranking movement

  • Create visibility score dashboards

  • Track SOV trends over time

  • Blend ranking + SOV datasets

  • Filter by keyword, date, tag, or project

  • Combine with GA4 or other business data


Best practices

  • Create separate connectors per project for cleaner dashboards

  • Use tag-based connectors for segmented reporting (e.g., Brand vs Non-Brand)

  • Blend Ranking Data + Share of Voice for full competitive analysis

  • Use Looker Studio filters to create client-specific views.
