How Credits Work

Updated this week

Credits are used to power your AI Visibility tracking. Each time you refresh rankings for a search term, this is counted as a run β€” and every run consumes credits depending on the AI engine being used.

What is a Run?

A run refers to a single instance of checking a search term against one or more selected AI engines. Every refresh β€” whether manual or scheduled β€” counts as one run per engine.

For example: If you’re tracking 1 term across 3 AI engines, a single refresh = 3 runs.

Credit Usage Explained

  • Credits are used each time you refresh rankings (i.e., every run).

  • The number of credits per run depends on the AI engine and whether you request detailed AI Overviews.

  • You can choose how often to run updates:

    • Manual (on demand)

    • Hourly

    • Daily

    • Weekly

Hint: Run key terms daily, and secondary terms weekly or manually to manage credits efficiently.

You can see how many credits you have left in the Search Terms section, where you will be managing how you use your runs per keyword, or in the Sidebar.

What is Runway?

Runway tells you how many days of automatic updates you have left, based on your current refresh settings and available credits.

This is incredibly valuable for helping you plan ahead, manage costs, and avoid running out of credits unexpectedly. It gives you a clear picture of how long your current setup will last, so you can adjust refresh rates, pause low-priority terms, or top up credits in time.

πŸ’‘ Hint: If your runway is shorter than expected, consider switching some search terms to manual. monthly or weekly updates to extend your visibility tracking without exceeding your budget.

Monthly Credit Expiry

  • Credits reset monthly based on your plan.

  • Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle β€” they do not roll over.

  • Make sure to plan your refresh schedule to maximize your credits before the month ends.
