Connect your Google Search Console account to your project an get additional metrics

Updated over a year ago

Keyword.com integrates with Google Search Console to provide you with more metrics to help you better manage and grow your SEO portfolio.

Once your project is connected to your Google Search Console account you will see these additional columns in the keyword ranking table.

Clicks

The number of clicks from a Google search result that landed the user on your property.

Impressions

How many links to your site a user saw on Google search results. Impressions are counted when the user visits that page of results, even if the result was not scrolled into view. However, if a user views only page 1 but the result is on page 2, the impression is not counted.

Click though Rate - CTR

Click-through rate: the click count divided by the impression count. If a row of data has no impressions, the CTR will be shown as a dash (-) because CTR would be division by zero.

How the data is collected and updated:

  • When keywords are added or edited, the GSC data will be updated within 8 hours or the change or the addition.

  • Once your keywords have been updated with these additional metric, they will be updated automatically every 24 hours.

  • If you want to get more up to date information after the daily refresh, you can Refresh your keyword with an on demand update and the data will be updated.

To compare data in Google Search Console, make sure you have the filters set to

Date: Last 28 days

Query: The keyword you are querying

Country: The region for your keyword

It is important to note that if you are looking at the data in Google Search Console the amounts may not match 100%, since these numbers are updated once a month.

Connecting your GSC profile

  1. Go to menu > Google Search Console

  2. Click Connect Account

  3. Authenticate with Google

  4. Once authenticated select the project you want to link to the account

  5. Start collecting data

Note: If you manage multiple domains make sure that the Google account you have connected has permissions to all the properties you need to link to your Projects. Check out this article from Google on how to manage permissions.
